Hi, I'm Beth!

I began my marketing career in Houston, TX during the 2008 oil & gas crisis, and I instantly fell in love with the impact I was able to make on businesses during a tough financial time. Fast forward to today, I live in Lexington, KY with my husband, Jordan and our two Golden Retrievers, Lola and Tipsy.

My Background

I began my career specializing in Pay-Per-Click Advertising and have set up and optimized hundreds of Google & Bing Ads campaigns over the years. As I proved my success in the agency world, I moved roles and began working with businesses on Search Engine Optimization, Website Conversion Optimization and Content, and always backed up my results with in-depth analysis.

This led me to a role I held for 6 years, the Director of Marketing for one of the largest marketing agencies in the US. As a former Director of Marketing for a marketing agency, I am well-versed in all aspects of marketing, from competitive analysis to event planning to search engine marketing. During my time in this role, the company’s revenue grew by nearly 30%.

Before leaving the agency world, I cultivated an award winning 20+ person Paid Media Department where we, as a Team, delivered results to over 800+ businesses on a monthly basis.

Why Now?

In 2008, I bought a round-trip ticket to Houston with the goal of finding a job and place to live before my returning flight. I had 30 days. It seemed like a crazy thing to do at the time, but I listened to my gut and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I was blessed with the opportunity to learn from some of the best minds in the marketing industry for nearly 15 years and I tried my best to soak it all in.

In 2023, I had to listen to my gut again. It was time to move on. I wasn’t sure what I’d be doing next, but I knew that it was time for me to step away from the company that had become my family. 

A few days into my new journey, our 7 year old Golden Retriever (Lola) was diagnosed with lymphoma. My schedule now included a 6 hour round trip to and from chemotherapy every Friday, which was not conducive to typical 40 hour/week schedule. 

This is how Golden Marketing Advisors was born. I loved the idea of applying the years of leadership and marketing skills I had gained towards making a larger impact on select businesses by utilizing a fractional marketing model and offering consulting as well. All the while, maintaining the work/life balance I needed to be more present for my friends and family (and having lots of fun with Lola while we still have the chance).

  • Oversaw website design & development projects, that led to a significant increase in YoY qualified leads which resulted in nearly 300 new clients and millions in initial contract sales.
  • Collaborated with IT & Technical SEO to change domain name of company’s website while growing organic traffic by 122% YoY.
  • As the business grew, we needed to grow our internal technology. I Integrated two unique marketing automation systems to streamline efficiency and align sales and marketing goals.
  • Produced all email marketing campaigns, managed lists, automation and all A/B tests with an open rate above industry standards.
  • Developed client acquisition and retention events including webinars, workshops, luncheons and outside
    speaking engagements. I’ve owned every aspect of the event creation process, from determining the topic to event marketing to building the content and planning the event. In total, 14 webinars and over 35 company hosted events were produced during my tenure, driving over 6 million in initial sales throughout my tenure.
  • Executed all social media for the business
  • Developed a yearly competitive analysis for national sales meeting to assist in crafting our sales messaging throughout the year.
  • Streamlined client facing brand by building client-facing and prospect facing PowerPoint Templates.
  • Conducted market research and user experience surveys twice a year that resulted in over 10,000 data points to be used in thought leadership content.
  • Created and executed on the company’s content calendar that included:
    • Email marketing focused on client retention & upselling
    • Industry award submissions that showcased our capabilities on a global scale
    • Case studies
    • Blog content promoting our culture, industry-targeted content and digital marketing content that positioned the agency as an industry leader
  • Worked alongside the rest of the Executive Team to create a balanced scorecard that organized our goals and created more focus and measurable objectives throughout our organization.
  • Established the Paid Media Department’s dashboard in an EOS that was rolled out company-wide and reviewed weekly to identify areas of opportunity and to pinpoint potential concerns
  • Cultivated an award-winning SEM Department comprised of 20 Team Members who manage 1.6M in monthly spend and over 6M in annual revenue
  • Coached 15 middle managers to ensure growth plans and support was provided for department, resulting in a 13.73% YoY improvement in Team Retention
  • Aided staff retention efforts through Team Member engagement initiatives and internal communication strategies which included creating a Communication Plan template for all future announcements and changes
  • Revamped onboarding process to expedite impact post-training and developed ongoing training schedule for growth & development, both of which contributed to a 32% reduction in account cancellations in Q1 2022 vs. 2023
  • Developed the organization’s most recent service offering, video production where I was responsible for everything from determining pricing based on competitive analysis to working with our legal team on the contract terms to creating the sales collateral.
